The Hong Kong Women's ChoirDuring the 2014 Spring season, The Hong Kong Women’s Choir performed songs based on the theme of heartbreak and redemption, including Emotion by Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb, All The Single Ladies by Beyonce Knowles, Forget You by Bruno Mars and Seasons of Love from the musical Rent. Two concerts titled “Stronger” were held at The Helena May (May 9) and The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (May 17) and an additional a cappella concert was held by Grace Notes titled “Love Me or Leave Me” on May 16 at Club Lusitano.
The spring concerts raised funds for two charities in Hong Kong: Foodlink Foundation, a hunger relief charity that collects surplus food from hotels and restaurants and delivers it to shelters and the needy; and The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club Charity Foundation, an organization that seeks to inspire, motivate and support underprivileged children, support retired mariners and other maritime communities, and embrace marine conservation and related initiatives.
